Upcoming Meet: TriState 5ers Season Closer at Croton Gorge Park, NY – 11/05/22

We’re Back!

Join us for our season closer Cars & Coffee meet. All BMWs and all other makes welcome, E39’s highly encouraged. Saturday 11/5/22, 10am.

Now, I know we usually have our fall season closer in Garden City, but we decided to switch it up a bit this year in favor of a more scenic location. Apologies in advance to all our beloved Nassau/Suffolk county residents, but the LIE and GCP just don’t excite as much as the mainland. Way back in September of 2018, we had a very intimate gathering (3 cars) at Croton Gorge park and we’ve been meaning to make a return! The views are spectacular and the drive to and from is great no matter where you’re coming from. At the end of the day that’s what it’s really all about isn’t it?

Schedule:

Saturday, November 5th, 2022 (Sunday 11/6 Rain date)

8:45am: Queens/Nassau/Suffolk Caravan Roll-out from Astoria Pizza Factory at 8:45am.

I personally won’t be there for this as I’ll be heading to the meet from further north on this day, but since we’ve rolled out from here in the past I’m extending a little courtesy. I just ask that you respectfully not message me to ask about who will be there because I won’t know. For reference, there are usually anywhere from 5-20 cars that show up to these Queens roll-outs, so you’ll be sure to bump into friends new and old. It’s a little over an hour to the gorge, so I would suggest that whoever wants to show up to this leg of the journey, arrive by 8:30am and head out as a group by 8:45am.

10:00am: Meet at Croton Gorge Park <– Click for Google Maps.

In contrast with our typical meet locations at a Panera Bread, the Gorge doesn’t offer any food or drinks, so be sure to pack some snacks, coffee or refreshments for you and your passengers. There is a great bagel shop right in town just 5 minutes from the gorge, so it might be a good idea to stop there if you want a bagel, sandwich, coffee, etc. The grounds have some picnic tables and there are bathrooms on site.

Don’t forget to bring whatever essentials you need for personal comfort including (but not limited to) lawn chairs, warm layers, sunglasses, sunblock and your cameras! The park is beautiful and you’ll have lots of photo ops!
